![]() ![]() ![]() I know in Darkest Dungeon lore pages were unlocked in rankings for bosses, in that the more times you kill the boss, the more detailed their lore becomes. Could be as simple as killing a certain type of enemy X amount of times to unlock more information about them. Lore unlocks: Maybe certain codex pages only get filled out when accomplishing specific tasks in-game. ![]() However, even things like how many times you've killed a specific enemy and how many times they've killed you could be interesting. Stats: If numerical enemy stats such as HP, DMG, and their abilities is too much that can be simply hinted at with the lore info. As a writer, I love the flavor text in the items, and would love to see the codex written from the perspective of our archaeologist character (what is his name again? I know the devs mentioned him somewhere). Lore Information, done in first person from the main character's perspective. An easy way to do it is to use the Reptilian Hunger blessing. With one of those equipped, you shouldnt have no issue defeating 10 different enemies before your Greed Counter empties up. Mind you, this is coming from the idea that the Codex will prominently feature enemies, but would love for it to detail lore of the different temples as well. This will be achieved best through upgraded Weapons that enable for fast combos. Personally, there are three things I'd love to see with them. Obviously the early access just launched and the focus is on the Jaguar temple at the moment, but I was wondering what people were hoping from the Codex feature that is grayed out from the main menu. ![]()
